Highly motivated by servant leadership theory, praxeology and the never-ending hunt for great coffee, Matt joined the RevLocal team in 2019. His mission is to help you win the war for your customer's attention, outpace your competition and capture an unfair share of your market audience.

Matt is a true son of the South. Raised in Georgia, he grew up playing football across the Peach State and dividing every summer between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beaches of Charleston. After high school, he worked a year at a construction company in Atlanta and served a month at a church in Guadalajara, Mexico, before attending college in Tampa Bay, Florida. He cross enrolled at the University of South Florida and Clearwater Christian College. At USF, he minored in military science and achieved a commission as an Infantry Officer through the Army ROTC program. At CCC, he earned a liberal arts degree, served 2 years as Student Body President, and won the heart of Lydia (whom he married after graduation).

Matt and Lydia served 6 years in the Army, spending most of their time in the deserts of the US Southwest. He was an Infantry Platoon Leader, Logistics Company Commander, and Military Intelligence Officer. After being blessed with two beautiful boys, Nolan and Josh, he and Lydia felt called back home. They planted their family in the Raleigh-Durham area, where Matt spent a year at Orion Talent connecting veteran job seekers with companies striving to recruit military talent.
