RevLocal Marketing Refresh: Google Adds Video to Google My Business

Did you know that Google will now let you add videos to Google My Business? Press play to learn how adding videos to your Google My Business search listing will help with your local search marketing!

Update alert! Google is always adding new features, and recently they’ve made a significant change to Google My Business: you can now upload video to your local search listing.

This is a great opportunity to share videos showcasing your business for customers to learn more about you and your products or services. Customers can even upload videos of your business (don't worry; if it's unrelated or inappropriate, you can flag it).

What video content can you publish to your Google My Business listing?

  • Product spotlights
  • Featured menu items
  • Behind the scenes walkthroughs
  • Content from social media

Your videos can only be as long as 30 seconds, so you'll have to keep it short and to-the-point. You'll also have to wait 24 hours before your video is uploaded to your listing.
