Derek Griego was born in Colorado, but shortly thereafter his family relocated to Southern California. Since then, he lived a large part of his life in Central Ohio but relocated back to Southern California in 2010. He relocated in May of 2018 to San Ramon in the East Bay area of California. Derek went to college at Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio, where he majored in Time Based Media Studies, learning computer graphics and 3D animation.
Derek got his first job in Sales and Marketing over six years ago and loved being outside and meeting new people every day. His role then moved into selling satellite television to business owners, where he really found his passion: helping business owners. He loved sitting at the table with small business owners and offering them a solution. Derek found RevLocal through a colleague and was immediately impressed by the mission statement. He has been helping small businesses tackle the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing and loves the challenge that it presents. Every day is different. Derek is very excited to build RevLocal as a household name in the bay area of California.
As far as his personal life, Derek enjoys spending time with his wife and his family. He loves being outside and enjoying the wonderful weather that California has to offer. He is a huge sports fanatic and enjoys football the most. Derek loves live music and even plays multiple instruments, the guitar being one, which he started when he was 12 years old.
