Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Jim moved to Columbia, South Carolina with his family when he was 9 years old. He grew up there before moving back to the mountains of South Carolina in 2016.

Jim has had two careers in his life. The first 20 years he worked as a Department Head and Designer, and then as a Sales Representative in the decorative printing industry. Since 2007, he's been working in the digital marketing industry as a manager and account executive.

Jim played many sports growing up and was an avid golfer until a knee replacement several years ago. His greatest passion is now cooking. Whether it's making a romantic 5 star meal for his wife, or handling the Thanksgiving dinner for his family, Jim loves making great food from scratch.

Jim and his wife also own a bakery. While his wife takes care of the baking, Jim takes care of marketing the business the book work.

Jim has four children and six grandkids, who he loves dearly. Family comes first for Jim and is everything to him.
