Reasons Why It's Rewarding to Work With SMBs

It may seem easier to choose to partner with large-sized businesses because they generate more annual revenue, but working with small and medium-sized businesses can be rewarding!

It may seem easier to choose to partner with large-sized businesses because they generate more annual revenue.

However, at RevLocal, we choose to work with small and medium-sized businesses because we feel rewarded by being part of their passion and their business journey.

With most small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) often being forgotten in the digital world, we choose to dig in the trenches daily to help them succeed.

We all know that running a small business can be daunting, but you don't have to do it alone.

Below are just a few of the reasons that highlight the rewards we receive by providing digital marketing services to small and medium-sized business owners.

Small Businesses Are Part of Our Lives

Almost everyone we know has either worked for a small business or knows someone who owns a small business.

And, for most of us, our first job was at a small business, which shaped us into who we are today by teaching us important life skills.

We now have the opportunity to give back to SMBs by providing a personalized service that keeps their business competitive online, so they can focus on what’s important to them — their business.

Small Business Owners Know How to Build Relationships

Small and medium-sized businesses often have more opportunities to connect closely with their customers and community!

One of the most important responsibilities of working in a digital marketing role is building trusting relationships with our SMB owners, so we often find that it’s easy to build a solid business relationship with them with our industry expertise. This helps us relate to the business better, and we can truly produce a strategy that helps them grow their business.

We also get to know more of a personal side with them, which helps us work better as a team. We enjoy receiving personal calls and emails that a large corporate office wouldn't have time for.

Small Business Owners Inspire Others

On our initial strategy call with the business owner, we listen to their story and hear why their business is special to them. Our clients are open with us about the long hours they spend working each week and aren’t shy when telling us about their struggles and the chances they have taken to build their dream.

This is motivational to us because it reminds us daily that if we work hard and step out of our comfort zone, we can also reach our goals!

It also gives us the motivation to work hard for them, as we know that they have so much time, energy and money invested in their business.

Small Businesses Are Special to Our Communities

When you think about your hometown, do you find that you often think about your favorite “mom and pop” pizza parlor?

Small businesses become part of our identity and our traditions, and our communities wouldn’t be the same without our hard-working local entrepreneurs! We never know what kind of unique business we will partner with next.

Final Thoughts

Partnering with small businesses is hard work, but here at RevLocal, we love that we can stand up for a smaller business and provide them with a marketing strategy that works best in their industry.

We know that everyone benefits when a small business succeeds!
